In the small cave adjacent to the beach, according to Alexandros Papadiamantis' "The Murderess," Fragogiannou found refuge, adding a touch of literary mystique to this tranquil retreat.

Lehouni or Nikotsara beach is located approximately 6.5 km from the town of Skiathos, in the area just below the monastery of Evangelistria, the visitor faces a wonderful natural embrace, the small and beautiful beach of Lehouni. The beach is rocky with white pebbles and has wild beauty and is exposed to the north. The road is smooth and leads all the way down to the sandy beach. The beach is not organized and its natural beauty is unaltered.

Local tradition says that the hero of the Revolution of 1821 Nikotsaras is buried here, which is why it is often referred to by the name Nikotsara. It is also said that, according to Alexandros Papadiamantis' short story "The Murderess", named Fragogiannou hid in the small cave next to the beach in her attempt to hide from the police.
